Wolowitz has gone

Recommended Posts

Ok so I got up Tuesday morning and I thought he was gone already as he curled over on his side on the bottom of the tank. But went over and bless him he wa still, just about breathing.....

I done a large water change and added some medication to the water.

Yesterday he was the same but thought the meds may need time to get working.

Woke up earlier this morning and he had past, bless him.

God only knows what happened. He was swimming around, seemingly, fine the day before and the Butterfly Tele in with him seems fine and normal.

When I got him the other month, the day after I put him in his tank he got a ridiculous case of Ich.

Absolutely coverd in red veins and spots on spots seemed to appear over night but with Meds and warmed up tank that soon went. The tail end of the viens were just fading, but no more "issues" with it.

Never had a fish just keel over on me like that before.

Im going to carry on with Meds for the Tele, just in case and hope she doesnt get affected by it.

And as I have 7 in my 70 something Gallon tank I think I'll eventually put my Broadtail Moor in with her.

Thanks Helen and Isabella.

He was a lovely fish and I always got comments on him where people had not seen an Albino before.

It was pukka seeing his two siblings last week, that they had left at the Lfs where I got him. They were still so small compared.

My friend was saying I should go and get one of the ones that are left but at £15 a pop even though beautiful fish and I got quite attached being so different, I dont think I could have it happen again and it doesnt seem to make sense to get one from the same stock......

Can sudden death be genetic or the "illness" catching??..

Sudden death is thought by some to be due to mycobacterial infections, which is something that could take a while to manifest, and it's not something we can control for, unfortunately :(

I'm sorry for your loss.

Nooo :( I remember looking at your pictures of him and thinking 'dang, that's a handsome telescope'. So sorry to hear that he has passed. :(

Thanks everyone.

Was funny coming down this morning sitting in me seat with me coffee, that is next to the tank, and not seeing him in there.

The little tele' (gota come up with a name for her) in there looks so small on her own bless her.
