Potassium Permanganate, is this the right stuff?

Recommended Posts

I have been putting off ordering PP for awhile now, but figure I should have some around. I just want to confirm that this is the correct type of PP (not sure if there are different types ;) ) Thanks!

Mine looks like what is the pic, and when you dissolve it, it turns a lovely shade of royal purple :rofl

It can be used as an alternative to bleach to disinfect plants and equipment. It can also be used as a treatment (as a paste or bath) for fish in certain (relatively rare) situations. It's not something you would need often (and hopefully never) beyond sterilizing purposes, but I think is a good thing to have in the arsenal if you're able to get it ;)

thanks ashlee :)
