New tankmates :)

Recommended Posts

Hi everybody.

Since i have lost my Calico Fantail "Pusling" and my Redcap "Buller", i really needed cheering up.

What better way to remind myself that life life goes on, than getting new buddies?

So i have bought 2 new babies on 21st of January 2012. :)

One is a tiny Calico Fantail and the other a little Orange Fantail.

I dont know the gender of either fishie yet.

They also dont have any names yet, so feel free to suggest names.

The new fish are so very tiny compared to my big Orange Fantail Tvilsen, but so far all is good :)

After buying them, they spent first week getting treated with Prazipro in QT tank.

And i will continue Prazi treatment in main tank, including the "old" fish too.

Here the cuties are...Enjoy :)

Congratulations. They're really cute. The other fish do dwarf them though. Can't wait for the before and after pics. Your last ones were quite impressive.

Jesper, I always enjoy watching your fish, and the new guys/gals are no exception. They will grow big in no time, in your excellent care :)

Thx guys.

They are so fast learners....when it comes to begging :D

My camera is just an 7 year old, not great Canon Digital IXUS55, but using macro function makes decent close-up movies.

If you camera have macro function, then maybe give it a try?

Time to feed the "kids" bloodworms now :)

Your whole tank and fish set up is really nice--they all look fantastic! New guys appear to be adjusting well so that's good. Great video quality too. :)

Thx for all the kind words :)

The babies are getting along great with the "old" fish.

It seems like they have made the old fish a little more active.

No doubt they sense the potentional harder competition for the food, hehe

It looks so cute when the small orange one follows the big orange Tvilsen.....like mother and baby :)

Your fish are gorgeous! Tvilsen's tails is wow and so is your big calico fantail/ryukin. Around 00:09 when he was making an entrance, I was like 'whooooaa'. What I would do for a fish with that kind of pattern and finnage! Congrats on the new guys :)

That is my little "Flipper" :)

He is such a gentle fish, who never hurts a fly.

The others bite me with all their might when i clean the tank, but he just nibbles my hand very carefully :)

For allmost 3 years now.

He was not allway so pretty, hehe

He is handicapped too, missing part of one caudal fin, but he is a charming little fish :)

What a transformation. I think these kinds of transformations are also a measure of how good a fish keeper one is. Great job :)

Do they ever finis that much cucumber? :)

Thx GFF.

Oh yes, the cucumber is only a emty shell after a day :)

The middle part gets eaten pretty fast.
