today was a big day. Did a 90 percent wc on the 55 and added the new fish to it. They seem happy. The bad news is that they are not getting fed for a few days to give the cycle time to catch up. In retaliation, they are uprooting the vals and eating the last remaining sword.

Took a video of my babies today.

I tried to take picture of all three of them at once it was hard to get them at the right angle.

So.......I took a video instead.

I finally got pics of my fishies.

I tried just taking snapshot with them in tank. Didn't work

I tried putting my hand in and cornering them to make them pose. Didn't work

I tried taking them out of the water and taking pictures with them on my hand didn't work.

I settled to putting them in a bowl.

Here they are.

I fed my babies this morning.

I'm still reveling in the all positive responses that Ariel, Esmerelda and Jasmin got.

Thank you all for the comments about them being pretty, active and healthy. :flowerss

Gave my big ones their second dose of parasite meds, salted the little one and watched it a LOT (I am getting attached...), tested everyone's water, fed some flakes to see if Marilou would have floaty issues but she never saw them at the top, waited till they sank, and gave the big ones an algae wafer (which they promptly scooted under the log and two were inside, two outside, all attacking it :rofl) and some blood worms left over from feeding the frogs. :D

Big old water changes for everyone. Added salt back in with Marilou (who is doing great and SO CUTE I can barely stand it. It's official. I'm in love. :heart)

Gave them some nori for breakfast. Marilou acted like it was the best thing she's ever seen, and Night Fury grumpily spit his out and begged for something else. Tonight's pea night. :D

Tested the ammonia levels, searched in vain for Seven (the missing White Cloud), fed pellets and put two lettuce leaves in the veggie clip. Went to the lfs and bought more Nutrafin Cycle and another ammonia test kit.

This is my first post here. I guess I don't do much for my finned friends. ;)

But today I did! I buffed the new-to-me acrylic 55, set up a diy stand (wood and concrete blocks), fed shelled peas and cleaned the impeller after the filter wouldn't turn back on. Also, my husband installed a gfi plug where the 55 will go. Maybe that's more for us instead of the fish, so we don't get electrocuted.

Wooo hooo it's been around two months since I had my goldies.

None of three fishies show any signs stress or illness.

An added bonus is that they are all healthy and very active.

Yesterday was big clean out day before christmas - the tap water actually registered 0 for nitrites! Must be a present from the water company .. :P They all got their presents yesterday too. A new silk plant for Angus the betta, and a new bubble wall for the goldies.

Today I picked up a little fresh salmon for their christmas dinner :)

Tested the water and fed them. It was not a big fishie day. I'll try to give them a treat tonight to make up for ignoring them for the last few days.

Tonight I sold two fish aquariums and hope to use the funds to buy more goldies and some nice decor.
