Thanks!

I will upgrade to larger fish tanks when they get bigger.

I know how much most fish enthuasists stress that lol.

Extremely too small of a tank. I suggest upgrading right away. Those 6 fish need 80+ gallons of water, and the single tails are suggested to be in a pond. Keep the water quality good, they should be OK for a little while :testkit: . Besides that, your fish are very nice.

I am thinking of getting a 50+ gallon tank and transferring some of the fish into the new tank, shouldn't that help a bit?

Or I might need to get 2 tanks instead of 1 haha.

Very cute little guys.

I love the tank, what are the dimensions?

Length: 25 inches

Height: 22 inches

Width: 18 inches

Volume: approx 40 gallons

I just measured it, those are dimensions of my fish tank.

I bought it from my neighbor, its an old style fish tank, I like the newer styles where they are longer, they seem to have more room too (when comparing new and old styles of 40 gallon tanks)

It somehow looks a lot smaller than 40 gallons. Could you get a fuller shot of the tank? ThaNKs.

I used the following unit conversion webpage:

http://www.unit-conversion.info/volume.html

and got an answer of 42.8 gallon.

25 inches X 22 inches X 18 inches = 9900 cubic inches

9900 cubic inches = 42.85 (liquid) gallons = 35.68 UK Gallons

Welcome to Koko's :)

Very nice Tank and Beautiful Goldies :)

I think maybe in the future the single tails should have a long tank, 80 gallons or more :) and the fancies should be happy in their current tank :)

I love the compact style of your tank, It is a good size and still fits in a small area! Thanks for the reply!

I can't wait till they get bigger so I can get them a new home, a 55 gallon is what I am thinking.

But the new tank is gonna be fully planted and set up just like the real thing before those little ones go in hehe.

In the future I will be keeping two fish tanks, one 40 gallon and one 55 gallon, some of the fishes will be in the bigger tank, this should help.

It looks a lot smaller than it is due to the shape, lol.

This is kinda like that wide cup vs tall up, both of different shapes but with the same amount of volume.

Nice looking tank and fish that you have there! The high 40 gal tank would be great for your fancy goldfish only, and by adding your single tailed fish to your 55 gal tank would do the trick as they need the longer wider tank with less depth for necessary swimming space. :Congrats:
