Ew Ew Ew!

Recommended Posts

I had this container of freeze dried bloodworms in my fish food drawer, and it has a childproof top that you need to push down and turn. Well, I haven't had it for too long, and between all the tanks I have going with fishies now, it was down to about 1/4 of the jar left.

I opened it, and it was CRAWLING with these tiny bugs that were smaller than ants. They looked like mites. It was like the bloodworms came to life and were just this writhing mass. It was DISGUSTING.

So please, check your worms often and don't leave them unused for more than a week.

Ew..... :yikes:blink::o

That's odd, I've never had a problem with my freeze-dried bloodworms, and they've been open for way more than a week.

Same here, my freeze-dried bloodworms are 2 months old, never had any bugs.... What brand do you use?

I've had this happen to me *twice*, but it wasn't something that developed -- they were crawling with bugs when I opened the new, sealed containers.

Maybe it's just a serious packaging flaw? :unsure:
