New Member, New Fish, And Lots Of Pictures.

Recommended Posts

I got my first goldfish yesterday, and today we had a photoshoot! (With lots of really bad and blurry pictures!)

My new girl is named Ophelia, and she is a tri-colored telescope perhaps 5-6 cm long. However, she currently has to reside in a 33G tank at my parents work with 3 fantails until she can come with me off to art school.

http://s287.photobucket.com/albums/ll137/P...nt=IMG_0984.jpg Here she is. Look at that adorkable grumpy little face! Her coloring is a little bit splotcy right now (she also has a few scales missing). I'm hoping that as she grows she will keep some black on her fins.

http://s287.photobucket.com/albums/ll137/P...nt=IMG_1186.jpg Here is a shot of most of the tank, and all the fish. In the top left are Lockjaw and Pigeon, and France is behind the Eiffel Tower (Irony!). These three are the permanent members of the shop tank, all fantails. Ophelia is on the bottom.

http://s287.photobucket.com/albums/ll137/P...nt=IMG_1177.jpg Peek a boo!

http://s287.photobucket.com/albums/ll137/P...nt=IMG_1175.jpg Here you can see some of the spots where she is missing scales. When I bought her, she was being chased around the tank by some males, so I'm assuming that is what happened.

http://s287.photobucket.com/albums/ll137/P...nt=IMG_1173.jpg Ophelia being pretty. She was very camera shy.

http://s287.photobucket.com/albums/ll137/P...nt=IMG_1144.jpg Ophelia and Pigeon. Ophie fits right in with the three fantails, no problems at all.

http://s287.photobucket.com/albums/ll137/P...nt=IMG_1046.jpg Oh no! They have spotted me! (shame this was so blurry, I quite like this shot.)

http://s287.photobucket.com/albums/ll137/P...nt=IMG_1014.jpg The three fantails, as seen from above.

:welcome Those are some great pix! So that's what Paris will look like under water and when goldfish take over the world :D . Ophelia's a very nice looking telescope and I also like France's long flowing fins. Hope to see you around the discussion boards!

beautiful little telescope (demekin) Just make sure that he gets enough food. Sometimes telescopes fish do not see that well.

Than you everyone! And I will be watching her to make sure she eats enough, though she seems to be doing alright (I usually drop the food in the same spot, so I hope she will catch on quick). For now she seems much more thorough in combing the bottom for missed food.
