Pictures Of My Fish

Recommended Posts

As I am new, I thought I'd introduce everyone to my fish family. I have quite a few (2 Ryukins, 4 orandas, 8 Ranchu, a black moor and a panda moor, a Hamanishiki pearlscale, and a common pleco) A few of my favorites -

Quimby (the larger of the two) the oranda- http://torgo.spleens.net/fish/quimby_and_murdock.jpg (the blood streaking in his tail is awful, I know! He is recovering from a rather prolonged illness and the meds were pretty tough on him. I am pleased to say other than the streaking he has made a full recovery and is doing well :) )

Manolo the ranchu- http://torgo.spleens.net/fish/manolo.jpg (his head is not as pointy as it looks here, :-p )

Big Vito the oranda- http://torgo.spleens.net/fish/big_vito.jpg

Ogopogo, my special Ranchu - http://torgo.spleens.net/fish/ogopogo2.jpg

Cuthbert the ranchu - http://torgo.spleens.net/fish/cuthbert.jpg

and a family shot :) - http://torgo.spleens.net/fish/family.jpg

All but Quimby and Murdock are in a 180 gallon right now. Quimby and Mur are in a 55 until I am sure they are well :)

Wow! I love that family shot. Gorgeous tank and fish. I think I made a comment on your other thread asking whether 'Ogopogo' was a fish type. Now I see that it's a Ranchu and you've named him/her 'Ogopogo'. :D

Thanks everyone :D

Small Ranchu, do you buy your ranchus locally or via the internet ? I noticed your post about trying to find show quality. Tough, I know! I am afraid to buy online myself.

He's a wonderful fish, for sure. He loves to come and eat treats from peoples hands and leads the assault on flakes :)

it is not good to keep common pleco with goldfish because it will soon attack the gold fish

Fishcrazy,

I learned this. He is not in the 180 with the main group, he's in the 55 where I had no choice but to put my recovering fish. I am preparing to move them ASAP away from him and into the 180 :)
