Thanks all! It's so exciting, can't wait for the rest of them to change... three of them still have "fry color"!

Lol yeah - how long does it take to change from fry gold to whatever colour they will be?

Well, Comet has been changing for about two weeks now, at first he got that chocolate stripe on his back :D but I think he will be all orange in the end. I've heard that fish can change their color several times, so I guess it's very individual!

I have always wondered about the fish with black eyes. Do they have black pigment instead of the usual gold? I used to think they were blind.

I think it is black pigment, and it's calico fish who has them. Their mom Gullet has one black eye and the fry Goldie has both black.
