Using Fish Water With Medication For Garden

Recommended Posts

Hi guys,

I use my fish water during changes to water the garden. I learnt that (deactivated) PP kills plants (opps -and I thought plants need 'potassium' in their soil, oh well). I know that Prazi is 'safe' to use. I don't dare use tetracycline because I think it kills bacteria and don't want to kill anything 'good' in the ground.

How about other chemicals, like say Para-ex which contains trichlorphon and something else. I'm using that now. I also figured it might be a good to know about other medications too. Oh, and how about salted water, is 0.3% or 3% safe to plants?

PS: don't know where this question should go

I wouldn't use the salted water on plants. Salt at that level will kill pond plants, so I wouldn't risk it in the garden.

As for the chemicals, I don't really know :(

I would hold off on using medicated water out in the garden, espcecially

if your watering stuff you'll be eating. Never know what reactions you

may have to some stuff. Better to be safe than sorry. :)
