75 gallon upgrade from 55

Going to get my 4 fancies a 75 gallon tank out grew the 55 in 5 months

Got get pics of my moor n ranchu any suggestions for a planted substrate not sand or fluorite they’re eating the fluorite sucking the algae off little by little

Nice goldies!

Any reason why your opposed to sand, IMO it would be best for the goldies so they can play around/sift in that...

Maybe cap the gravel with large flat stones like slate and then with weekly cleaning take them out and gravel vac?

I Don’t like cleaning sand I have two tanks with sand and I love the way it looks but you loose alittle every time you clean it after a year it’s going too make a difference just like them grazing on my flourite

If it was me I would get the biggest size you can. Just remember goldfish like short and long tanks not tall and long :)

Yea I wish I had the money to buy the tank I want for them they are getting this 75 because a buddy has it and gave it to me with a stand for the deal of a lifetime and they need a new home it’s a standard 75gallon tank

Ok so I picked up the tank yesterday and am soaking it over night going too scrub it down n rinse the crap out of it after work today sick little peanut doesn’t know it but when she goes back to the goldfish tank it’ll be all brand new

Still soaking the tank lol it was a salt water set up and I’m having some issues getting the residue off the inside of the glass

Take a razor to it... with some vinegar or lemon juice, it clean it up in no time.

So I got slammed the last 3 months at work so today is the day it’s 9:45am n I scrubbed the tank and let it soak with vinegar over night and now I’m rinsing it out

The water is still clearing, I’ll take better pictures in a few days. The fish didn’t skip a beat went right too exploring the new tank
