Do you think water hyacinth is one of the worst plants to have in a pond?

I like the look of them but the roots keeps rotting and then it just dirty up the pond. I'm no longer keeping them.

Im wondering if they didn't get enough nutriance or something.... I like those plants :)

No because they are green and blooming flowers. It just seems that they keep growing new roots and shedding the old ones.

I don't know.  They are illegal here because they can take over a lake and choke out all of the native plants.
