Britain’s fattest goldfish weighs more than a bag of sugar and costs £4,500

Recommended Posts

You would need a large tank - and bank balance - if you wanted to take Rocky home to keep. The whopping guppy is believed to be Britain's biggest goldfish - weighing more than a bag of sugar or a premature baby.

The most expensive fish we sold was a panda oranda, which went for £6,500 two years ago.

I'm not proficient with goldfish colors, but don't pandas always loose the black and white only coloration as they grow? So someone paid the equivalent of $8072.28 USD for a fish that wasn't going to stay black and white?

Any panda that you can buy will almost certainly turn white. However, apparently some Asian breeders have produced some stable pandas.

I have seen them more stable in ponds than fish tank :)
