Bottom Sittying

Recommended Posts

Hey every one.

A little sad right now. My male butterfly telescope is bottom sitting today. He has been my healthiest guy up until now! Yesterday and today he has been trailing a strand of clear poop. Gave all my fish peas yesterday but usually I can see when the peas leave their systems from all the green poop. So I am wondering if he is retaining all of his food and has severe constipation. Water quality is as normal and has been the same ever since I started up the tank a year ago.

pH 7.6

High Range 8.0

Ammonia 0.25

Nitrite 0

Nitrate 10

Does any one have any advice for me? maybe an epsom salt bath? Me and his girlfriend are feeling pretty sad about it, as we are both encouraging him to make some kind of movement other than laying belly down in the corner :(
