Mushy Pothos

5 posts in this topic

I noticed my pothos  roots are looking a bit mshy. The Goldies all nibble on them so maybe that's the problem.

Anyone else having this issue?

If the roots are mushy get it out hun. It can hurt them in the long run if you do :(

I sit the roots atop the filter and pull the leaves back. So far, so good. I definitely wouldn't sit it directly where the fish could get it, I'm sure my little curious one would pick at them.

Pothos generally like free draining aerated soil. Some adapt better than others with their feet constantly submerged. If you remove the plant, cut away the rotting portions and plant it in a pot, it should start to recover. :)
