Welp, so much for my BLUE crown pearlscale...

Recommended Posts

Well, eight months since I brought my little piggies home, and well, things have changed a bit.

I think we said as much at the beginning :D. I have yet to have a blue or brown fish that hasn't shifted to some shade of yellowish orange ;)

Very pretty. Slate is a much lighter shade of blue and everyone said she'd likely change to a whitish color but its been five months since I got her and she's still the same light blue color. No change at all!

There's a pearlscale on an instagram account that I follow that is orange and black.  I've been watching the pics of the little guy for over 2 years, and he still has the orange belly and black "mohawk" along his back, and black fins.  Maybe this guy will keep some of his blue?

Is he doing okay? I didn't see him in the tank in your new thread.

He's doing fine. His lower body is almost completely orange now. I'm tempted to rename him Jellybean. :)

It's probably too much to ask that his back and fins will stay black.

He's awesome. I doubt he will retain any black. My Rhonda has lost all of hers now. Was sooooo hoping she kept it.
