Ken's Fish Food

Recommended Posts

I like to browse this site for various items. I have bought some of their home made fish foods before for my tropical fish, but was curious what you guys think about the following items for goldfish. Since they are dehydrated and dry foods, they'd need to be soaked, but are the ingredients good?

Also, what do you think of this for a medicated food? Is this similar to what was in MM's or is it different:

I have tried the spirulina crisps. They are messy and don't do much for the fish.

In the LIHDs, I worry about the first ingredient or two, but otherwise it looks pretty nice.

I'm also curious about that med food.

Thanks for the input. If they're messy and not much benefit, probably not worth messing with... at least the crisps. The drops look like they might be messy too, but hard to tell.

Metro Meds had Oxytetracycline, Romet-B (which is a sulfa) and Metronidazole.  This only has the Oxytetracycline.  I would probably go with Medi Koi rather than this stuff or combine New Life Spectrum Hex Sheild with a water borne powder such as Seachem Kanaplex for a better broad spectrum treatment.

Thanks for the info. I thought that MM's had more than one ingredient, I just wasn't sure if this was one of them. :)
