My new 30 gallon tank

Recommended Posts

As I've mentioned elsewhere, my big common Georgia died last weekend. :-( I've had ongoing problems with my spring water, and trying to maintain decent water quality in my 90 gal tank was really hard. So since I'm now down to 2 fish (Goldie, a 4" GGF who is probably not going to get larger, and Titus,a BN pleco), I decide to scale back down to a smaller tank So I can use store water easily when I need to.

I miss the 90, which was really a gorgeous tank, but the new one looks great and the fish seem happy. It's nice to be able to see Titus occasionally--he still has driftwood, but there wasn't room for the one he used to hide under so well that months went by without my catching a glimpse!

I put it on a cabinet my grandfather made for me. I had to drill holes in the back for cords and filter tubing, but I think grandpa would understand. :-)

The background is black, but can't really tell that with the glare from the Windows.

Looks nice! Plenty of room for Goldie and Titus from the look of things.

Looks awesome - nice and clean, a very attractive centerpiece. I also approve very much of your organization underneath, I'm the same way :)

Tank looks great, and that cabinet looks like it was destined to hold that aquarium setup, I'm sure he couldn't argue with that, heh. I would be a bit cautious about the intake being that close to the sand though, might be a good idea to shorten it up a couple inches?

very nice setup :) try taking a new closer pic at night with lights off to avoid the glare.

It looks so good and I like how there are only a few bits of wood and rock and that it isn't too cramped for the fish :)
