Wheat Germ isn't the best staple, since it is a winter food. Winter koi foods are meant to put weight on a fish, not act as a year-round staple diet. It's also a floating pellet. You want one that sinks.

Lots of people like the Saki Hikari (purple bag) goldfish food.

Try the NLS Thera+A pellets. They are well balanced and the garlic is good for the fish's immune system. A goldfish food doesn't have to be labeled as being for goldfish, so don't be too worried about that. :)

Okay thanks no wheat germ then for sure. Is this what you are talking about? http://www.bigalspets.ca/saki-hikari-fancy-goldfish-7-oz.html

t does not say the size of the pellets though, can you find it.

Is this what you are talking about??? It says antiparasetic

Oh I thought it had to be goldfish pellets to be the best, lol

These are the same ones I get here in Australia for my fish and they LOVE them!  I just soak them for a min or two before I add them to the tank as one fish is a bit pigger and wolfs them down without too much chewing...  I find they swell a tiny bit and soften a little making him more likely to chew them, and take fewer pellets per mouthful.  Slows him up so my little one gets a chance to eat!

My babies are only 6g and 33g though, so you may need a bigger pellet depending on your fish size... someone who knows more in that department might be able to help you with the pellet size.

Okay I will bet those for sure. I soak all the food and its amazing on how much it swells. Just put them in a container of tank water. I think since I will feed it to my fancies and comets I will get a smaller size. Thanks hun.

I've been feeding my comet Saki-Hikari sinking pellets since he was small and he still loves them. Now that he's bigger (9") I just feed him more of them--I don't think the size matters too much.
