Test Results for the Following:

* Ammonia Level(Tank) 0-.25

* Nitrite Level(Tank) 0

* Nitrate level(Tank) 10-20 ppm (I don't understand; my filters are completely stuffed with plants! Why is there still nitrate!!)

* Ammonia Level(Tap) 0-.25

* Nitrite Level(Tap) 0

* Nitrate level(Tap) 0- 5

* Ph Level, Tank (If possible, KH, GH and chloramines) 7.4 ph

* Ph Level, Tap (If possible, KH, GH and chloramines) 7.4 ph

Other Required Info:

* Brand of test-kit used and whether strips or drops? API drops

* Water temperature? 76 f

* Tank size (how many gals.) and how long has it been running? 29 gal, ~1 year

* What is the name and "size of the filter"(s)? Aqueon quiet flow 55/75 (400 GPH), other filter (~270 GPH)

* How often do you change the water and how much? Weekly; 70-90%

* How many days ago was the last water change and how much did you change? 4 days, 70%

* How many fish in the tank and their size? 2 goldfish, one small one medium. One small bn pleco.

* What kind of water additives or conditioners? Prime

* What do you feed your fish and how often? Omega one small pellets, NLS 1mm pellets. Both sinking

* Any new fish added to the tank? No

* Any medications added to the tank? No

* List entire medication/treatment history for fish and tank. Please include salt, Prazi, PP, etc and the approximate time and duration of treatment. Tank has never been treated. Newest addition (two months ago) had a month long QT with three rounds of Prazi at .3 % salt. Kappa was treated with salt and Prazi last August, three rounds.

* Any unusual findings on the fish such as "grains of salt," bloody streaks, frayed fins or fungus? Seems to be turning orange. I don't really think that's a sign of illness, but i thought I'd mention it anyways. I notice what seem like tiny whispy things on his gill flaps. I may just be paranoid, but it seems like he is having trouble breathing.

* Any unusual behavior like staying at the bottom, not eating, etc.? Bottom sitting, constantly gasping

Please help! I'm really worried about kappa.

Pics please.

With 3 in a 29, I think your nitrate is about what I'd expect even with plants . . . .

Pics are uploading as we speak. If you think it will help, I can move the BN pleco to my 20 long.

Thanks, Heidi. I hope so too.

Can you move her into QT with just an airstone? Is she eating?

No change in kappa this morning. Still very lethargic, mostly just lying around.

@Mikey- I looked at Helen's gender post (at least I think it was helens??) and im pretty sure he is male.

@fantailfan1- Okay, I can do that. But how do I measured out Prazi amounts? I have the powder Prazi and had the hardest time measuring it when I treated Eleazar. He was probably wayyy overdosed. :(

@jenzaar- I'll try to post more pictures ;) Thanks for the goodwill!

For the prazi powder, it is 0.06 teaspoons for 10 gallons.

No. I only have the Prazi, normal salt and Epsom salt. I think my brother has anaflaxin or something like that.

I couldn't get a good picture, I'm sorry. I hope you can see in the video. It is very slight.

I think you're right. Would you be able to get metronidazole (Seachem metroplex) and kanamycin (Seachem kanaplex)? You'd either need to get them at a locally owned pet store or order online . . .

Add Epsom at 1/2 tsp per 5 gallons please.

Epsom added. I don't know if I can. But I'll try to get them.

I just checked and my brother has pimafix, melafix and flavine. Will any of these help? What temperature is best? Does this mean no Prazi for now?
