Product recommendations

Recommended Posts

I participated in a sale on petco.com and I received a $15 gift card to the online store and I'm not sure what I should get. Would any of you recommend anything?

My Petco carries NLS fish food. If you don't have that I would recommend getting some of that. I use the 1 mm Thera A formula and have been very happy with it. Prime is always a good option too. :D

I have both of those but thanks for the recommendation!

I would get things you need.

What's your filter like?

Do you have a glass thermometer?

Do you have PraziPro?

How about frozen bloodworms?

I have an eheim 2213 and a penn plax cascade 500 and an Aqueon quiet flow 30 so my tank turns over I little more that 10 times an hour. I have a glass thermometer but I use a digital one. I need some prazipro and I was going to get blood worms once I have my fish. It's still cycling :)

I think that the prazi and/or frozen bloodworms (not freeze dried) will spend up that gift card quickly.

I don't think Petco has PraziPro . . .

You should definitely buy frozen bloodworms: giftcard or not! The fish absolutely LOVE THEM! It's a great snack to feed right before a water change because it can be quite messy. Speaking of water changes, you may also want to look into a python if you don't have one!

If not frozen blood worms or a water python, extra filter media is always handy. I run our the white floss for my cascade 1000 regularly!

I always get more Prime at times like these. Or liquid test kits.

Me too! I just buy staples. Kind of like how I would if I got a gift certificate to CVS.
