I wish we had something like that in Sydney. There's a koi show occasionally, but never goldfish.

^That would be fun! I could totally host one (I have a fairly large yard!) but most members are up north of me!

Join your local koi/pond club and suggest they include goldfish in their next show. Most goldfish shows start this way. A goldfish show is so much easier than a koi show that it's not much extra work. You can also join the AGA and look for other members in your area.

Here you can get (download) pics of the winners at the Orlando Goldfish Show. It could practically have been called the Orlando Ryukin Show since it seemed like over half of the entries were ryukins. Last year there were a lot of pond type fish entered, this year hardly any. The coloring of the oranda that was reserve champion was really gorgeous in real life.

In the Best in Varieties group, the calico ryu reminds me of Jared's Nishiki (which I am going to steal in a few weeks :lol2 ).

I love the Baby Grand Champion R&W ryu! :heart

Thanks for posting this! Very cool! :D

Dallas Koi Show & Goldfish Show-Mark Your Calendars! Sept 19 -21

The Dallas Koi Show will be held a little later in September this year to avoid some of the high temps we dealt with last year. The weekend is September 19-21, and will be held at Bass Pro Shop in Grapevine, Texas.

For the first time, we are going to have a goldfish show, with Tony Reynolds as our judge. I am hoping some of the koi hobbyists will encourage their kids to enter goldfish! Please drop me a line if you have any questions about the goldfish show at koicrazy@gmail.com.

Also, go to www.dallaskoikichi.org for more information about the koi show.
