Eureka! One Fry

Recommended Posts

Take tons of picutres, and then date them all. It's unreal to see how they go from eyelashes to monsters, in just a few months. :o:yikes

Absolutely Molly!

Well . . . Aubrey, I've got something for those coworkers of yours. :bat:

I'm too lazy to take pics and date them all. I figure I'll just post them here and it's automatically dated. :rofl

I fed him some brine shrimp but he is soooo little I can't quite tell if he's eating them. :rofl He would kinda hover then dart, hover then dart. I don't know if he was on the prowl or just figuring out who his new tank mates are. :rofl

Also, I can see some tiny tiny lil pectoral fins. :teehee

I would ask for a pic but I'm sure you are going to post one soon anyway.

:rofl I tried to get a good one but he was at the back of the tank and my camera would only focus on the stuff behind the tank and not on him. I'm hoping to post a pic a day. :o You'll be sorry you asked. :rofl

He asked about something that happened at school with Colin then went and changed his clothes. Finally at dinner he asked what it was. After I said it's a shrimp hatchery for the baby fish, he just went about getting his pizza without saying a word. :rofl

I think after 10 years of this GF business, getting rid of my 90 only to get a 75 a few years later, nothing surprises him anymore. :rofl3

This above is too cute. What a great husband you have Lisa. (made me laugh)

Your also "Lucky" you got lazy and didn't do that initial clean up/water change after not seeing the fry in the tank. He could have been unlucky and went down the drain. :yikes

Your Lucky Waldo was meant to be. Congratulations. I can't wait to see how he/she turns out.

You will know when his entire midsection turns bright orange! Lol!

Here he is at 3 days. I can see him open his mouth and I believe he has a belly full of brine shrimp. :teehee

Do Fantail fry not have dorsals or are we looking at a baby Ranchu here :idont

I don't think any of them have dorsals. They grow in later, I *think*.

Why? You gotta problem with a baby fantail, buddy? :bat:

:rofl3

Isn't he cute?

Well, the dorsal-less gene is weaker than the dorsal gene. Even 2 Ranchus won't produce all dorsal-less offspring. So, you may end up with a Nishiki fantail :nana

:thud That would be awesome! But I bet that calico pattern is recessive and I end up with a carbon copy of momma fish--orange ryukinish fantailish fish. :rofl

That's fine with me! :teehee

I highly doubt it will be a chu. Seems like Shawn said about half her fry were chus and BOTH parents were chus . . . :idont

Half the fun is not knowing what you'll get! :nana

Excitement. I wish Newton would somehow reproduce through divine intervention. Fry would be so fun!

I wanted to post this for Tammy. This is one if those plants I bought that I later found out should be grown partially emersed. I finally found a way to do it. :nana
