tired of c360, problems...

Recommended Posts

hey guys, just wanted to let u know my goldfish have been doing excellent, ive been doing weekly water changes but heres the problem.

I have the Marineland C-360 Canister, i do maintainence on it usually once a while, the last rinse was around july.

I'm getting sick of tired of the manual prime button, opening it up again filing water, doing maintainence on it is such a pain. I got it on May 29, 2012.

I think it comes with a 3 year warranty idk exactly, but I'm thinking of just replacing it and calling marineland. I've been paying attention to the fluval fx6, im wandering should i get it and is it worth the money? Any suggestions guys?

Just wondering why you need a fluval fx6 for 3 goldfish. That beast is for like 400 gallons tanks :P

You have to do maintenance on every and any filter, and I have found that it's about the same across the brands, which is that it's a bit of a hassle.

I run an Eheim Pro 3e 2078 on a 75 g with 3 goldfish and it gets regular maintenance everytime I remove the tubes for a cleaning every 2 months. Not a major cleaning though, but I do rinse the sponges in a bucket of tank water so it keeps gunk from building up.

As said previously, all filters regardless of the type need regular maintenance to keep them running at their best, and to ensure that they last as long as they should.
