I usually take mine off and clean it in the bathtub with a little water and vinegar :)

If you got a lot of mineral deposits, you may want to use some sort of plastic scrubbie or a brush and thoroughly scrub. You will be amazed with how much brighter your tank will be after removing these dimming deposits :)

I've used CLR that is used to clean calcium, lime and rust out of your shower.

Mr clean magic eraser works decent on the glass, just rinse when done!

I vote vinegar. Eats off even the nastiest garbage. :)

Vinegar's my go-to as well. Using a plastic spackle scraper tool thingie helps too.

Your water must be harder than mine (which comes out as a solid--lol). I've never had to take out a scraper, well, not since I learned the vinegar cure! That's a great idea though! ;)

I give mine a rub down with the scrubby side of the tank sponge with each w/c now, I used to throw it in the tub w/vinegar but no longer have a tub in the new home ;)

Vinegar... I forget what a good and safe cleaner this is. I will try it too.
