A single baby

Recommended Posts

Alright, here a couple photos and a short video.

Little Guy is starting to grow an actual tail and pectorals. :)

In the blurry side view photo his eyes are still very noticeable, and you can make out his swim bladder as well.

Thank you! Well, he has about half a day advantage, right? Although that might sound silly, I think in a total time of the pretty much exactly 72 hours since mine hatched, half a day can make quite a difference.

Wow they grow so quickly! congrats Fang :)

Thank you! I find it so much fun to watch this little guy get bigger every day :)

Congratulations on your baby fish. The best food you can give it is newly hatched brine shrimp. They can grow fast and with a steady diet of newly hatched brine shrimp goldfish can grow 1/4 inch per week.

Thanks, Nick! My brine shrimp are currently hatching, but I feel like I prepared WAY too many, even though I used only 1/3 of one 0.74oz packet. :lol

Good thing I just took some a little bit ago!

He is looking more and more like a tiny fish and not like an eye lash. Photos were taken while he was nibbling on SG powder at the surface.

Thanks, Jess! I love the third photo, it really shows nice details. And the last picture shows his pectorals very well and his tail fin seems to spread out :)

Thanks, Lisa!

It is so weird, when I look directly at him, he doesn't look anything like in these photos. I think I need glasses :lol
