Shrimp moved out of the pod.

12 posts in this topic

Tomorrow I got to get some marine salt. For now I moved them to this glass. Added some moss(it can survive brackish water) and gave them some food. They are still not as bright red as they were in the speire but hope they get better soon. They did eat. They are going in a one gallon tank once I get some salt. But got to add the new water slowly so well be in the glass till it is full then think Ill have enough to move them to the tank.

OH and put them here since they are not freshwater shrimp.

Aaw, they look really good so far! I'm glad you were able to get them out okay.

They look like they're swimming in your pictures, and I figure as long as they are active they're prolly doing okay. c:

Yes they are swimming around. When I get them in the tank I should with help from a magnify glass get some better pictures.

That would be awesome. I can't wait to see the tank. After some time you should have a whole little breeding colony.

I am so hoping so. Would be fun. I have always wanted to keep shrimp but they always die on me. Hope these don't.

Shell, when I first heard about these spheres I googled a lot about them and found out that the critters in these spheres aren't actually as happy as we think. These shrimp can live significantly longer outside the sphere and might even breed. There are a lot of people that see these spheres as just as much animal cruelty as we see goldfish bowls.

I even found some youtube tutorials on how to open the sphere/set up a tank for them/transfer them etc. :)
