Other Required Info: * Brand of test-kit used and whether strips or drops? Drops API * Water temperature? 73-74 degrees. * Tank size (how many gals.) and how long has it been running? 55 Gallons 4.5 years * What is the name and "size of the filter"(s)? SUNSUN 525 GPH canister 9 watt UV sterilizer built in and Aquaclear 70 300GPH * How often do you change the water and how much? Once a week 90-100% * How many days ago was the last water change and how much did you change? 7 days ago * How many fish in the tank and their size? 6. ranging with tail, 2.5-7 inches. (300 grams of total fish weight) * What kind of water additives or conditioners? Prime * What do you feed your fish and how often? Hikari Lionhead (Puff and Koko float), Omega one (haven't fed that in a while so I'll see if they float on it), Pro gold (we really good on this and suddenly started floating on it), Repashy (no floating) bloodworms and brine shrimp (no floating), peas (no floating). NLS (a little floaty) * Any new fish added to the tank? Nope * Any medications added to the tank? none * List entire medication/treatment history for fish and tank. Please include salt, Prazi, PP, etc and the approximate time and duration of treatment. 3 of the 6 have had dropsy. I recently did 3 rounds of prazi pro without salt dips or salt. * Any unusual findings on the fish such as "grains of salt," bloody streaks, frayed fins or fungus? some dots on Kokos tail, and Puff had a cut on her chin. It appears to be healing though, as I can't see it today. * Any unusual behavior like staying at the bottom, not eating, etc.? Both bottom sitting after being fasted for 2 days and now only minor bottom sitting. Koko has always had swim bladder issues since I first took him home. He is now floating and can;t really control himself after some foods. Puff always had a good swim bladder and just floats after eating. I think they all gulp at the top when there is no food left in the tank. Could they still want more and then cause themselves to float because of doing this? My other fish don't float (except for Chubba, but she is the dropsy fish and has had a bad swim bladder for a long time now). Advice would be awesome. Pictures to come soon.
