  1. Hi guys.... I've a sad announcement to make. The red headed Oranda I referred to in my introduction post (My Fishy Family) as "Gentle Wen" passed away quietly on the weekend. There was nothing wrong with her...no illness, no physical external symptoms, she still looked perfect. She was OK in the tank one evening, the next morning she was just gently resting on a stem of one of my plants. It is a consolation to know that she appeared to have passed away "In her sleep".....no pain, nothing. Even the other guys gave her much respect at the end, and left her at peace and didn't bother her at all..just quietly swam around where she was rested. I suspect it may have been organ failure of some kind, I don't know? I placed her in our fishy graveyard plot in Lyn's flower garden...next to "The Pink Lady" and another large Shu that I never gave a name to..... "The Pink Lady" This is the three deceased little guys together in a tank in happier times....it's nice to know that they are all back together in Lyns' flower plot..... I've only lost these three fish in the last 10 years, I had forgotten how unpleasant an experience it is, never mind she's at peace now.....
