  1. Who is going to be watching the MF Aquatics auction on Facebook , Thursday (1st December) ? It's great that the UK is following suit and we're getting more fancies!
  2. COLLECTION WALES, UK ONLY £230 ONO - PLEASE READ BELOW: Comes with: Fluval Roma 200L black and white tank Fluval Roma black and white cabinet Fluval U4 internal filter 2x Aqua-Glo Fluorescent Aquarium Tube 30W 91.44cm (36in) T8 2x Sun-Glo Fluorescent Aquarium Tube 30W 91.44cm (36in) T8 I have taken off the white paper from the bottom of the tank and also painted the back with Krylon matte black spray paint but it is easy to remove. One of the brackets in the light hood doesn't work unless you wedge the bulb in the correct position. Other than that the cabinet has 2 screws in the back panel where I have mounted an extension cable to provide a drip loop. The cabinet and tank are in mint condition. Aquarium Measurements: 100 x 41 x 61 cm Cabinet Measurements: 100.6cm long, 41cm wide, 72.8cm high PICTURES WILL BE AVAILABLE OF THE TANK EMPTY ONCE FISH ARE SOLD PLEASE CONTACT IF YOU HAVE ANY QUESTIONS
  3. I need to rehome my 2 Ryukin to someone in the UK, I really don't want to have to take them to my LFS and know I'm going to find a good home for them here; I would appreciate any offers. I'm having to make more space for my butterflies as I'm a little over stocked, which is a shame but as I'm planning on breeding them I need as much space as possible (so they can grow big and strong ) I can take more pictures if you ask. This is Luna, I don't 100% know she's a girl but she's never had breeding stars. I got her from Maidenhead Aquatics for £12 about a year ago. She has a small part of her tail fin missing from her injury when I first got her, but other than that she's healthy and really nice colours. And this is Albus, again, I don't know if he's a boy as never seen breeding stars. I bought him from Star Fisheries in Surrey for £80 in October. Really nice fish, does like to gulp at the surface but has never shown signs of bloat or been floaty. Loves to eat!
  4. Anyone knows where I could get foodgrade tub etc for about 120-150 liter to use as quarantine tank? My love, bless him, doesn't really know anywhere to get big plastic tubs, and he also strongly hinted that while he is fine with one big tank, he would prefer not to have another "proper" (in his mind, made of glass) tank around for quarantine (but apparently plastic one would be fine, maker alone knows his logic). He is right in that we ARE somewhat pressed in pace, however, so any suggestions would be greatly appreciated
  5. Does anyone know where to buy the Mr Aqua 12 Gallon Aquarium in the UK or even if it is available in the UK as I love the dimensions and I would just like to know if it is even possible to buy them thanks
  6. Dear International/UK Kokonuts, Kanaplex is the last on a list of treatments for my hugely sick oranda. It's my very last shot at restoring her health. As recommended by one of the Mods I have started a post here to ask if anyone has any or knows of a reputable supplier that won't let me down... Unfortunately the European supplier I chose on Amazon, let me down twice and took over a month to do anything about it. They have blamed the postal system, two separate times and seem not to know where the hell their own products are. So I need this product urgently! My question is: Does anyone have any in the UK that I can buy from you? (ideally) or Do you know a good supplier that won't let me down. Can you help Thanks so Much Qx
  7. I have had the most amazing goldfish-filled day I've been to Star Fisheries open day, which for those of you who haven't heard of it, is one of the main fancy goldfish breeders and suppliers in the UK. There's not many places in the UK where you can find such a wide variety of fancies, so this place is pretty special. So I walked upstairs and was greeted by a giant goldfish wall, and the biggest oranda tank I have ever seen. I WILL have this tank one day!!! To give you an idea of the size of the oranda tank, Baz has been volunteered as size comparison , he's 6'2'', so you get the idea... (Note the price on the tank, those oranda's ranged from £195 to £395!!) Here are some more pics of the orandas... Gorgeous big choc oranda but the pic is a bit rubbish... I loved these panda orandas, I nearly got one but they were a bit bigger than what I wanted, I think I'll always get babies from now on. I was trying to focus on looking for an oranda, but there were just so many adorable ranchus, I very nearly came home with one. Here's some pics of a few, sorry some of them are a bit blurry, I was very excited. Oh and just a general apology for the quality of the videos and if they make you feel a bit seasick, again, I was very excited. This little guy ... There were also some gorgeous top view ranchu, some bred by Andrew James, and the others imported and bred by a japanese breeder. There were lots of lovely veiltails... (Some stunning calico ryukins in this vid too) Some big beautiful ryukins... Bristol Shubunkins… Crowned pearlies... Big fat ping pong balls, stunning ryukins, the cutest white chu, and panda moors... Veiltails, panda orandas, panda moors, tricolour orandas, and beautiful chus... This little cutie reminded me of Jenna's Betty... Hope you all enjoyed the photos and videos, I definitely enjoyed myself! They have an open day every month until Christmas now, so I'm sure I'll find myself there again. Pics of my coming soon….
  8. My apologies if anyone has posted this already or I'm saying something that everyone already knows! Made a batch for my brats and they loved it .
  9. Hi guys, I've got a sick ranchu which Alex has recommended I start treating with metro meds, but unfortunately I don't have enough for a full course. If anyone is interested in the story here's the link to my d&d thread: http://www.kokosgoldfish.invisionzone.com/forum/index.php?/topic/117728-super-long-white-poo-am-i-worrying-about-nothing/page-2 Does anyone have any spare metro meds that they could either post to me or I could collect? I live in North London. I will of course pay for them Many thanks to anyone who can help me out!
  10. Does anyone know where you can buy Pro-gold in the uk, or import it etc?
  11. Hi sorry if there is already a topic but I couldn't find one . I have a fish that is floaty but I think it is due to bad food so constipation . ATM sphe / she ( don't know :L) is getting fed 2x a day soaked and squeezed tetra goldfish pellets and occasionally tetra fresh delicia. Used to be on flakes but switched to pellets . After anything I feed him he becomes floaty peas help him sometimes but today was so bad that even peas did not help totally . I really want to try repashy because I have heard great things about it . I don't know where to buy it because on tasty worms everything is in dollars ?? I am also going to get some baby spinach , how do you cook / blanch it ? I'm sorry for such a long post I am just worried about my poor guy
