  1. When I add all 9 koi together. I get a total of 46 inches of fish. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  2. The tank is 20 liters? He said in the fill out form that there's one fish in the QT bowl which is 20 liters. I figure he meant the goldfish normally lives with the Koi in the main tank. Though as they are Koi, the tank is probably still too small... Hi guys sorry I had a cut 'n paste error above regarding the tank volume. My tank is 3.43m length x 0.8m wide and 1.15m deep. It's got 9 koi. The gold fish was living amongst the koi. They are all racing around happily, so no idea why the comet decided to go and swim with the fishes
  3. Hi everyone. Thanks for the feedback. Sadly the goldfish didn't make it through the night Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  4. Hi. The form above is for the tank. I'm in Cape Town South Africa. I'll try get the water tested tomorrow Yes. The koi are in the tank with the goldfish Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  5. Hi. Thanks for the reply. I managed to feel the belly but I can't get my nails under the gills. They seem quite cLosed. I've uploaded a video showing the belly inspection and lethargic behaviour. Eli Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalkhttps://vimeo.com/163996757https://vimeo.com/163996930

  8. Hi @fantailfan1 here's a pic of my main tank. It's 3.43m length x 0.8m wide and 1.15m deep. It's got 9 koi, 1 comet and two I can't ID plus the guy checked into my hospital tank. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  9. Thanks @shakaho that was an extremely succinct explanation. Keeping fish is always so fascinating especially if you manage to their solve problems. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  10. Thanks again for the answer. So just to clarify. Once the bandage is on there is no/little risk of my other fish catching the ulcer, when I reintroduce the goldfish back into the main tank ? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  11. Can I put the goldfish back into the main tank with the "bandage" or should I leave it in the quarantine bowl? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  12. I have a couple of questions. 1. How often do I apply the iodine and denture powder? 2. How long do you think it will take for the wound to heal? Thanks in advance Eli Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  13. Thanks so much for your detailed answer. Very helpful! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  14. Since uploading the picture. A thin white cotton strand has come out of the wound. It's about 3cm long and 1mm thick. Could it be a worm or a secretion? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  15. Thanks Helen. The fish is about 3 years old. I also thought initially it was a black more but the local aquarium says it's not. Any other ideas? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
