  1. Hi, I was wondering if any of you who has an unopened bottle of Seachem Prime at hand could do me a small favour. Could you take a pic of the seal, the plastic thingy you need to peel off to open the bottle and post it her for me to see? I know it's kind of strange thing to ask and I'll explain the reason for my request. I recently purchased a small bottle of Prime to use while I'm waiting for my order of Safe from UK to arrive. I said to my self: why not buy it here since it's available?. Probably very wrong idea as it is highly possible the bottle I bought has been tempered with, i.e. the seller opened it took half of it out, refilled it with water and sealed it again. Obviously the seller won't admit it so I need to figure this out myself. I don't know what I'm pouring in the tank and if it makes any differance at all. I took a sniff at it and it doesn't have the strong sulfur smell the Prime I had before had. Should I double the dosage or toss it in the garbage? I'm sorry to bother you guys with this and I appologize if you consider this forum not to be the place for this kind of posts. Koko feel free to delete it if this is so. Thanks in advance to those of you who decide to grant my resquest.
  2. California is having such a dry spell/drought and it has been so darn HoT. I've been feeling really bad about just using my aqueon w/c so today I finally looked up this website and I was pleasantly surprised I have three of these stores all within a half hour from where I live. I called one of the local numbers and told the gentleman what I was interested in and he is going to email me OR mail me a 20% coupon. (I'm assuming for anything to purchase) So, I'll be buying one of these Harbor Freight pumps sometime soon. (A year later from your thread though. Better late than not at all. hehehe) I just found this thread and am thinking of the same thing! I am still using my Python to do water changes but I feel terrible every time I do since I'm basically using double water to do the water changes when we have a drought in California currently. This is a great idea that I might look and invest into! like 40+ minutes to fill and about 20-30 minutes to drain. I just want it to be quicker because I am always busy and want it done as quick as possible lol I'm kind of thinking now, again, to go for the 620gph. I'll have to ask the employee if it's too much/fast if I'll be able to exchange for the 320 then. Did you end up using the 620? Hopefully you found the tubing for it. I would love to see how it worked out for you since I might be thinking of doing this method of water changes as well! You may want to check this out. The video was shot by a (former?) member of this formum. All comes very well explained.
  3. I love the 4th photo down. Was it not in the pic of the week?
  4. Its incredible how they're starting to develop and look like fish. With 2 exceptions they are all buterfly tails like their parents.
  5. Ah, ok. You didn't mean the oranda. Hope she decides to get him so he'll go to a home where he'll be taken good care for
  6. Fry Gen-1 - 3 weeks old!
  7. Fry Gen-O - 4 weeks old!
  8. Oh, the blue oranda is so beautiful! How come nobody wants it?
  9. Gorgious tele! Jenny from Solid Gold has done an excellent job breeding these fish.

    My New Betta!

thanks! If I put more than 1 or two more plants in, I don't know if he would have any room to swim He's gotten 100% daily since day one I think 100% daily is too much. It's a tropical fish after all. Just saying, it's up to you to decide, but I'd suggest you do 70% every other day.he isn't getting them daily anymore. He didn't have his tsnk set up and I was doing that until it was set up. That was posted two months ago if you looked at the date. And even being a tropical fish it does not matter if I gave a 100% daily as long as the pH and temperature was matched. That goes for ANY fish. Not really but as you wish.

  12. Koko by "erode" do you means it gets yellowish and rusty like? No it wont do that.. Erode as like when you see a river Erode a bed away... Just washes down.. become crumble I guess you can say Ah, ok. Turn into sand like. No nothing like that has happened.
  13. Thank you all for your moral support. I appreciate it. All fry that were deformed (3 in total) are now gone to a better place (I hope). I'll sure keep the Clove oil (smells fantastic, by the way, for a poison. Well cyanide does too...) but I do not intend to do any culling.
  14. UPDATE: I scrubbed it for the upteenth time and is now again in my betta tank. I'll be adding some more plants as soon as I get my hands on my salary. I'll post some pics ( of the tank, not the money).

  16. So should I boil it or just throw it away and buy new one?
  17. Silly me forgot to paste the link: www.photobucket.com. Try it. It makes it a lot easier to post pics
  18. Hi, Register here (it's free): Upload your pictures and then in Library click on the pic where it says "Share"-> copy the link (the one that reads "direct") and paste it here like this: the link you copied.
  19. Hi Fantailfan1, I use it to stabilize pH and it has been in the tropical tank for about 2,5 years.
