  1. Wow nice fish. I only tend see a few Large Oranda in my area LPS never Ranchu.
  2. I can't remember where or who I got the idea from , but I works flawlessly . It's worth going to buy some in my opinion . I put the salt in a stocking and a little while later it's gone. I was boiling before this much easier. Thanks to whosever idea that was.
  3. All of those places have great fish. In my experience Eastcoat Ranchu offers the healthiest fish of the vendors I've tried.
  4. tThanks for your input. They seem to be ok as a secondary filter. There are a few videos on YouTube about them. I ve often wondered why something like this hasn't been available before with the technology we have access to. If I get one I'll let you know my findings.
  5. I Understand the usual problems with internal filters, but this thing claims to almost instantly control ammonia levels.
  6. Does anyone own one ,or have experiences to share?
  7. Those hydra 40 filters seem great . I wonder if anyone has used them.
  8. Thanks for the help and compliments. I remember reading something similar a while ago ,just can't remember where. Oh well I still like my fish as well. Again thanks.

  13. I've had this fish since it was a baby. It's always been this way, sometimes up and sometimes down. I've had several tanks and stocking levels since then. Now I have 75 gallon. with 4 ranchu and 1 oranda. Two of the ranchu were added this week. I have fluval fx6, and with the additional ranchu I added a fluval 106. I also have a 24 watt uv sterilizer. I try to get a vid and sheet filled out. I was just wondering if this was normal or not.
  14. Has anyone had an Oranda that can't seem to keep his dorsal up. I've seem some whose dorsal seem to be totally erect while others are not . Is it a muscle issues the can be helped with higher proteins?
