  1. //double post sorry So nvm my last question. Just turned on my lights and the male swordtail is dead. So now all my adults have died and I just have the babies. What the heck! I honestly am so discouraged rn I might just scrap the whole tank. Or maybe I’ll get rid of the babies and just get a betta to go with my danios. Idk Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  2. Feel better Mandy! I think my baby swordtails might finally be big enough not to be eaten! Their bodies are solid enough I don’t think they’ll fit in daddy swordtails mouth. I’m not sure though... he might still attack them. How should I go about reintroducing them to the main tank? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  3. Finally I have internet again! It’s been out since Friday ugh. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  4. I wouldn’t euthanize perfectly good fish. Being overstocked isn’t ideal but it isn’t the end of the world or that drastic short term. Your first step is gonna be getting some major filtration going. Whatever you have, double or triple it. Also you’re going to want to do large water changes every 2 or 3 days while you’re overstocked. I’d check to see if any other pet stores will take some of them if you wish to rehome them, or you can post on a local Facebook board about rehoming them. [emoji4] Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  5. Woah they’re really getting big now! They look like proper fish! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  6. I drew these and I’m gonna paint them on canvases for the baby room. What do y’all think? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  7. Sorry to hear that Mandy! Hopefully your tanks will be less eventful after this. RIP Seaking. [emoji22] Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  8. I have java fern, Anubias, vallisneria, sword plants, dwarf lily and banana plants. It’s a 10g; right now there’s the one swordtail and 5 danios. But I think I’m gonna leave it alone and if he dies, I’ll do a big wc and then get a betta as a showcase fish. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  9. No I haven’t. I have a lot of plants so that would hurt them. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  10. Sorry for your loss Daniel; he was real pretty! My other female swordtail died last night! I just found her stuck to the filter. I don’t know what the heck is going on with this tank [emoji37]. I’ll do a big water change tonight and maybe that will help... if anymore die, I’m giving he rest away and switching to one single betta. I’m sick of finding dead fish! 11. I know this is stupid and kinda vain, but tell me why even when I look GREAT, photos have me looking half dead?? I’m soo frustrated! I just want a nice picture for once! [emoji37] Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  12. Thanks Koko and Mandy! The weird thing is that this one didn’t even have babies, the other one did! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  13. I lost one of my swordtails today. My least problematic, the smaller female Sable, died in the last two hours. She was a little sulky before my water change but it was a huge surprise to see her dead! There were no obvious signs to show why she died. Water temp was matched, prime was used, filter and heater are running. But I finished a 40% wc at 8:10 and now it’s 9:56 and I just flushed her body. No clue what happened! I hope it’s not the start of a mass die off [emoji51]. My zebras weren’t qt’d when I got them so it’s possible they brought something to the tank, but they seem healthy as an ox. Fingers crossed the others survive. No one seems unhappy or ill in the least. Smitty got sucked a little into the vacuum but just the siphon and not the tubing. If he had died I wouldn’t have been shocked. But he seems fine too! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  14. That’s scary, especially with how long you’ve had your fish! I can’t imagine what a loss that would be! I’m so glad you caught it in time. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  15. Do you think my swordtail fry would be better off in a 2G with a sponge filter, or staying in the breeder box in the tank? I don't have good access to them so I feel like they're not growing well. I need to be able to feed them more I think. Plus I'm nervous my danios are gonna somehow get in the breeder and eat them!
