  1. I just bought these! Two of the larger double stacked corner filters. I got them off of ebay for $11 each and you can easily customize them. How do you like them (if you have them)? I'm setting up my tank soon so I'll post my review of them later on. Has anyone else used these corner filters? What size tank are you putting these into if you don't mind me asking. I was thinking on doing them for my 90 gallon tank (something tells me it's probably a 72 gallon) in addition to my fluval 406. I'm trying to weigh out any extra filtration that may be needed so I can get it up and running. I have two of the larger sizes. Each large states is good for a 40 gallon so I thought two would be good for my 35 gallon. I haven't tried them out yet. As soon as I do, I'll let you know how it went.
  2. Thanks! Yeah, I'm waiting to get the amonia in the mail and then I'll order plants so I can get this cycle going already. Although I'm super excited to get my own goldfish, I'm surprisingly patient. Me being patient doesn't usually happen haha But just as with any pet, they should be cared for humanely .

  4. You are freakin hilarious! Keep the videos comin'!
  5. It hasn't been too hot lately but I have the pond placed in a shaded corner of the balcony. It will only get partial sunlight so I shouldn't have any cooked fish. I went to Petco today just to look around and their poor fish were barely moving, most were on laying on the gravel and one was definitely dead. This one black moor looked so depressed! Lookin' like Eeyore...I wanted to save him but I just have no where to put him yet. Just waiting on a few more items and I should be up and running in the next week or so.
  6. Your fishies are adorable. And the names rock!
  7. Aww yeah! In the eloquent words from 2Pac: "Say what you say But give me that bomb beat from Dre Let me serenade the streets of L.A. From Oakland to Sacktown The Bay Area and back down Cali is where they put they mack down Give me love!" Californiaaaaaaa knows how to partay!
  8. I can't believe I ran out of likes or I would like every single one of these posts!! Definitely feelin the love!! I just received my filters, air stones, pump, lighting, fluorite, my nifty water test kit, and conditioner over the past few days. Supa doopa excited!!!! One quick question - I'll go to an appropriate thread to ask this question but when in Rome... I want plants in my lil pond. I have playground sand and fluorite. Should I do a layer of fluorite gravel with a layer of sand on top or just choose one or the other?
  9. Hey everyone! Thanks for taking the time to read this post. Makes me so feel welcomed. I fell in love with Fancy Godfish late last year and I've been researching and planning for months now to reduce the amount of freak outs when I finally get my own fish to fawn over. I love to be outside so I'm beginning with a 35 gallon preformed pond that I'm putting on my balcony. I'll be posting pics and videos of my progress so PLEASE share with me any tips or advice along the way. I live in San Pedro, California where the Los Angeles Port is. We have a lot of tropical fish enthusiasts out here but not a lot of gold fish lovers so if you're from Cali please say hello! Much love! Danielle
