My first and only goldfish, Sunny (Calico Ranchu)
  1. Thank you very much. Hopefully Sunny gets rounder and chubbier in my care. Thank you so much. I appreciate it.
  2. Thank you. Yeah, I'm definitely a bit more relaxed now and I really do enjoy watching Sunny swim around. Haven't turned on the TV once since he/she has arrived. Thanks so much. You have no idea how nice it is to have someone say that to me right now. I feel like some stress has just been released. Thank you. I'm gonna need every bit of it. Thank you so much. Been gathering information for a little while before I took the leap. This site was alot of help, so I decided to join in. Thank you. I'm really all smiles having Sunny with me. It's so enjoyable watching my little ranchu. I hope Sunny stays with me a while...
  3. After a couple of months of researching, buying equipment (also returning because I kept learning the things I was buying were "bad" for goldfish) and cycling my tank, I finally took the plunge and bought a Calico Ranchu Goldfish from East Coast Ranchu, His/her name is Sunny. I figured I hit the point where I could only learn so much from the theoretical and I had to actually try to apply the knowledge I had acquired. I've had Sunny for about 10 days now and I've been pretty much clinically paranoid for most of it. I kept thinking that I would be the cause of the demise of Sunny. I'm getting more comfortable everyday Sunny survives though. My tank is pretty bare and ugly at the moment. I'm only using a sponge filter because I knew Sunny would be weak and stressed from the travel to me. The first couple of days were definitely rough. Alot of bottom sitting and abnormal swimming behavior, but as days went by Sunny got better and better. I will probably add the power filter next week. Until then, I have been and will be doing daily 70%-80% water changes. Only because I'm still unsure of myself. Lol. I have plans to decorate the tank more, but it's been slow going trying to figure out exactly what I want to do. I'm sure it will always be a work in progress... Short video... http://youtu.be/Z3yyU3g4d3s I guess I can't post a pic here from google...
  4. Great looking crew you have.
  5. Must...resist...urge...to squeeze...those cheeks...
  6. Congratulations on the new goldies. That ranchu is sooooo gorgeous!
  7. The wen growth is definitely impressive. Hope he gets chubbier.
  8. Jet will always have a special place in my heart. One of if not the first fish I saw on here and one of my first comments. I always remember Jet. Glad he's doing well and finally came out as a boy.
  9. Oh wow, way too adorable. Cuteness overload. Like the good use of fine china to show them off as well. Great camera work.
  10. Sorry to hear about the loss... That jet black ranchu is super sexy though.
  11. The more tails the better. Awesome looking goldie.
  12. I'm sorry to hear one died... Wishing the best of health for the others. They are all cuties.
  13. Congratulations on the beautiful new Oranda. Love that metallic look.
