  1. I'm at a time when the first place I have no clue who I was in my room for a long way in the
  2. Thank you for posting Cynthia. Seems like a crazy case of pure human moments. I do hope that everything works out in the end for all parties. And heal up fast love Cocoa and Ginger say hello to their original mommy :hug
  3. Also, I don't know if she does it still but she puts a preventative medication in with the fish in the specialized bags. They are fasted before shipped so that there is minimal waste as they travel. I'm really sorry this all happened but many people have done business with Cynthia including myself. She is very passionate and cares about these fish as if they were her own (she did raise the tykes). This whole situation is frustrating for all parties. We're all human and I understand venting your frustration but I think Cynthia is being fair. I hope you fish is healthy and not too stressed upon arrival. Good luck
  4. Tough little critters! It's usually recommended to give them around four hours in the PP. At one point I didn't PP or bleach my plants and just stuck them in (I know...) I ended up getting snails in the tank but they didn't last long as it was a Berta sorority and they devoured the snails after a few weeks. I've read a range of times re: PP, from 20 minutes to 4 hours as you say. For my part, I usually make a pretty strong concentration and examine all of the leaves. I think that since one of the plants had rock wool on its roots that I may have missed something. Oh well! Ah yeah. I tend to make the water just purple enough and let them sit for 4 hours (or, if I forget, longer ). But I'm sure your babies aren't complaining! Free snacks! :

  6. I usually will use my hand to guide a fish into a container and transfer them to a five gallon bucket. I'll use my hands to put them back in the tank or to weigh them. When I use my hands for handling I rinse my hands in very, very hot water and no soap and then I am very patient. I'll softly handle them till they calm down in my hands. Then I will gently but quickly move them. I've never had anyone get hurt handling them with my hands. I've had fish bump scales off running from the container in the tank but I've never had them get hurt from being handled with my hands.
  7. The colors are just stunning! That pond time is serving them well
  8. I just saw this on IG love. I'm so sorry for your loss. Puff was a special and beautiful fish
  9. I have two from my local Walmart, two from my LPS, and two ranchus with East Coast Ranchu. I didn't have one from Rain Garden but she passed away recently..
  10. I don't have permission to view the thread
  11. Aww poor darling! I hope all goes well and he pulls through!!
  12. I've got a female albino BN pleco in my tank and she was shy for a long time. But now she seems very comfortable and is finally cleaning the tank really well!! I also have two nerite snails in my other tank. They don't do nearly as well on the algae as the pleco but they make a good dent all the same!
  13. There was someone on Instagram that had tanks as well as a giant bowl (like pictured above) with two small fish in it. I remember being horrified at first but as I went through the thread I saw that it was actually maintained very well and the fish were stunning!
