  3. I don't know the sex. It is overstocked but they were small at the time and I was waiting to get a $ per gallon sale in July and get a larger tank. That's why I had the higher filtration for the meantime. I'll fill them out.
  4. So I've been noticing this past month that one of my goldfish has been quite a bully. I've had two fish die in the past 2 months over what I think is bullying. The reason I say this is my water parameters were all fine. Cycled tank, weekly water changes, the works etc. They would be fine one day when I go to bed and turn the light off or get up in the morning and go to school/work and within 12-24 hrs later when I come home or get up each of them would be dead and sucked towards the intake tube. They have no problem swimming, or getting too much flow. Theres Puff and Ghostbaby left and I noticed like this morning when I drop some pro gold pellets in that both of the remaining two eat the pellets but Puff will chase Ghostbaby around and away from the food. Chasing in circles. I can probably do a video and pictures tonight for further info as I'm at work/school at the moment. I was thinking of stopping by Petsmart when I get off tonight and buying one of those plastic dividers to separate the two of them until it is resolved. I don't want to lose any more fish. Not a great way to celebrate my birthday today. Anyways any solutions or just commentary would be helpful so I know I'm not insane. If you need/want more info just ask. INFO 40g Breeder tank 500+ GPH Filtration 1-2 times a week water change around 35%-50% just varies. 4 goldfish originally No ammonia, nitrate or nitrite issues, filtered water and conditioned with prime. Fed occasional peas but mainly pro-gold and occasionally frozen brine shrimp.
  5. I'm looking forward to some pictures. My fish are great together but when it's feeding time Puff thinks all the food is his.
  6. Nice and simple! Very clean looking. Lets hope those goldies aren't pigs! New pics?
  7. Raingarden and dandyorandas are 2 that I hear recommended a lot. Just google search and compare to those 2 sites I listed. Good way to start. DON'T USE EBAY. lol
  8. I have one Aquaclear 70 on my 40g and love it, probably will get a second eventually. When my emperors died, I got the AC70 and have fallen in love with it. The tubing is nice and clear, will match your tank much better also.
  9. Looks really clean and nice. Makes me want to go get a new background for my tank.
  10. I asked my wife if we could get a second tank and get it setup slowly and she glared and said no. KoKo: How is the baby? I had no knowledge of this, should probably pay more attention.
  11. Beautiful fish and tank! Looks similar to mine!
  12. When I used it I kept it open all the way, actually at one point just for appearance I just pulled the little grey cover piece off. Looks nicer, also if its ever too much flow just put a little filter pad around it. Works great!
