  2. I have a 160 gallon tank that I'm setting up in my garage. It will be setup on the floor like a pond, with an aquaponic filter (so it should have a high level of filtration). If this was yours, what fish would you stock? Requirements: *Freshwater Fish *No Goldfish or Cichlids. *All fish must be the same species. **BONUS (but not necessary) **Chosen fish can breed in this setup. **There is some demand for this species and excess can be sold. So, what fish would YOU stock in a "Garage Pond"?
  3. That is really so amazing! How would one go about breeding a fish like that?!?!
  4. Sounds simple enough! Thanks for the reply! :D

  6. Okay hun. I took some photos of my light app. This is the Weather I have all I need to do is pick a time and then the kind of weather. This is my main menu. This is my Exports,
  7. Hmm...I'll have to see if I can find the color boost!
  8. I can't find other photos now either x.x I'm sure I have seen them though! I really do think its real
  9. Oh I do believe its real. That would be to hard to photo shop with the reflection of the camera on the tank.
  10. I don't use the weather part. I have it set to, color boost. If you touch the export it should have some defaults there. You can load them up. Then you you really want to you can, hit the edit button and change the time points. Hope that helps some 🐱
  11. Breeding yellow with yellow gives the best chance of getting lots of yellow babies. Yellow with yellow and white should get you a mixture of yellow and yellow and white babies.

  13. I don't know anything about the genetics of breeding goldfish for colors. If one were to breed two yellow (lemon) goldfish, would their offspring be yellow also, or would they come out in different colors? And what about breeding fish that were both yellow and white like the photo below? And . . . what about breeding one fish that was pure yellow with a fish that is both yellow and white?
  14. Well I would love to see those photos! Please find them! There has to be more photos (or a video or two) of those amazing fish !!! That is . . . if the photo is actually real . . .
  15. The more information you give us, the better we can help. For example, what foods do you feed, how often do you feed and how much, how often do you change the water, what type of filtration, what temperature are the fish kept at? There are many factors that play into growth rate. Also, there is no need to wait till the low grade food runs out, you can get the better food and feed both at the same time. Actually, it's great to have several different types of food. I think I had about 8 different types of commercial food I used to feed, plus gel food I made myself and treats like veggies and bugs and such. Also, welcome to the forum!
  16. I did, but I can’t seem to figure out how to program all the different types of weather for it to cycle through?
  17. Yeah..... 🐟 Oh I love to hear when fish are back to there happy self. 💖
  18. I have that one 👍 What part of it are you having issues with. ? You did download the app?
  19. Does anyone know how to work this Fluval light I have? It’s the one where you can control it with your cell phone and it has night and day modes
  20. Does the tail just look a little frayed? I can’t tell from that picture, I’d need a close up in bright light behind something pale like a white bowl or your hand.
  21. A quick update on my little one (now names Nibbles). He is almost completely healed up and is in the 100 gallon with his friends! I do think the “fraying” I was seeing was actually new growth, he’s just so little and since the healing was lighter in color than the rest of his fins, it looked concerning. I’m so relieved all is well with him!
  22. Thank you! The plants are all Anubias; a mix of Nana, Coffeefolia, and some new Nana Petite for the 100 gallon. I actually got my new tank setup over the weekend and am finishing up the layout of everything before posting pictures. I love it though and the fish all get along so well! You’ll have to post pictures once the 75 gallon is setup! Do you know what varieties of goldfish you plan to keep? Planning out a new tank is always so exciting. I’m sure it will turn out great!

  24. UPDATE I'm almost 2 weeks into treatment, I'll be putting my third dose of fluke solve in the tank tomorrow. The PH is about 7 but the KH is still about 2. I've found some crushed coral I can order online, how much do I need? The white spot on the big guy disappeared and another one appeared in a similar place but that also disappeared so he currently hasn't got any visable symptoms. However I noticed what looks like rot?? on the little ones tail fin. Here's the best picture I could get. Its the first physical symptoms the little ones shown, but it's clearly different to the white spot. What would you reccomend I do now?
  25. I’ve been feeding them a low grade fish food about two to three times a day. I was going to switch to a high grade food when the low grade runs out
  26. Sometimes it seems to be genetics related. I have a couple of fish that just haven't grown despite getting the exact same treatment as my other fish which have grown wonderfully. What do you feed them and how much?
  27. Im not sure if biweekly means twice a week or once every two weeks, But either way I agree with Koko, I would do at least 80% a week wc and test the tap water to see if there is nitrates in it
