uh hey guys... well i guess i shouldnt have bought the extra fat big bellied molly... lol but we already have 9 of them.. so HELP i have no idea what i am doing bought a breeder and fry food now what? lol ohh this is so stressful!

that was helpful info, i am now curious about culling because one female had about 17 and i know i cant keep em all but at what age(how many weeks old) do you look for irregularities to know to cull them?they all look like commas right now!

Its up to you and how much room you have. If you have plenty of room then you can wait longer but if you dont Id say wait around 2 weeks before the 1st culling. Good luck

i'm still so lost what is culling exactly?

basically it is getting rid of undesirables, and it is hard to do : ( i just gave two babies to my daughters friend, made sure she had a little filter and conditioned water....i dont know what I will do, my little guppies i looked today ( they are a week old ) i dont see any deformed or weird or nothing.......but there are still like 15 of em : ) and another preggo momma fish in the big tank sigh....

getting rid of as in? or like giving them away... because i REALLY need to get rid of these fish... i didnt buy mine in hopes of having babies... so far i have found 3 homes... but that still leaves me with 8 of them... i dont know what to do...

yeah getting rid of.......as in they no longer exist ....i have asked all kinds of people and no one has fish tanks , i think i will just leave the other momma in the big tank and when she has em, well, most of the other bigger fish will eat the babies that dont hide, i have no way to get more tanks right now and that is basically what it will take if they have more... i even got a small 5 gallon for work and have some in there lol i am tanked out and guppies have babies like.......well ...... guppies : )

this place called capital aquarium takes fish i think so ne left overs i have i plan on handing over to them... IF they'll take them...

yes, it would be nice if they would do trades, like here are 10 guppies for you can i have a store credit for whatever you think is fair.....that is a thought even a few dollars for filters or whatever

You could probably talk a fish store owner or manager into taking them in. Petsmart and Petsupermarket are pretty good to tropicals, its the goldies they dont have a clue about...

Yea i hope they do... i wasnt planning on keeping this tank for mollies! but noooo i had to choose that extra fat fish... what was i thinking?! and i tried petsmart they said no but told me to go to capital...
