Besides my goldfish tank, I've got a 29gal curvefront with 3 large gouramis and 4 tiny lemon tetras in it. Two of the gouramis are females (pearls), the other is an opaline male. The two females look like they are carrying
alot of eggs, thier middles are swollen up in comparison to the male. I read somewhere that gouramis are related to bettas, and build bubble nests when they get a chance. Also, since they originate from Indonesia (I think) they prefer lower circulation in thier environments. The 29gal tank had plenty of circulation, (bubble curtain in the back, one regent filter over the edge, and an undergravel system) and I'm wondering if I should either:
a. transfer them to my 10gal for a bit to allow them to nest
b. lower the circulation (but not filtration) in my 29gal
c. leave them be and stop worrying because I have no clue what I'll do if they do spawn
Any suggestions or comments would help me out a bunch. Thanks!
