swimming upside down. I'm thinking swim bladder so he's been given peas. He is as fast as ever and still eating he is just doing it all upside down.

Sounds exactly like SBD. Did you fast him before feeding the peas? If not then do - at least 2 days - before feeding peas again. This works much better than peas alone to unblock the gut.

Do you feed dry foods? If yes, then cut these right down or at least pre-soak and squeeze thoroughly before feeding them.

Gimli has done a complete 360 turn. He was doing so great this morning. Looks like the peas helped. I'll fast him for the next few days and give him another round in a couple of days.

As for the LOTR name...my panda oranda's are named Gimli, Aragon and Arwen.
