hi all
how does everyone clean the front of their glass aquarium??
mine is just driving me mad.
i live in a hard water area, so when a bit of water gets down the front, it will generally be noticable - but i just cant ever get it clean.
i've tried mixing some lemon juice, some vinegar etc - nothing seems to work - or it will be so smeared - it is just driving me mad.

it just spoils the appearence of it - and i know there must be a way!?!

i daren't use any commercial cleanign product, as the fish are so sensitive,
so how does averone keep their tanks clean?

If I'm thinking ahead, I've got a towel at the tank to wipe up
after adding new water. Otherwise, I just use a glass cleaner,
sprayed away from the tank though. The black trim cleans
easily with some hot water. If you've got some pesky spots,
try a razor blade. That should scrap most everything off.

I use windex or there is this stuff you can get from the petstore that is to be more friendlier than windex. when I get the chance I will find it for you if you want. But the windex is great biggrin.gif

use windex and some newspapers to wipe down.. no streaks ..

the newspaper will fall apart when wet hahaha

hi folks!
i've never seen nor heard of windex - but i reckon its probably like windowlean, which is the main thing we have over here - so i'll pick some of that up.

i was just worried about using anything like that near them - but obviously if i'm cautious it will be fine.

thanks a lot - cant wait to have sparkliing glass!!

I use methylated spirits on a cloth.

They make this nice stuff called GooGone as well, for anything that is too sticky that you get on your tank. Put it on a cloth and scrub hard. This helped me get the stickiness off of my tank after I took the stickers it came with off. Just dont get it near the top of the tank!
