OK, my friend Megan bought a pregnant guppy by accident from wal[mart, go figure... shows what they know... Anyway, she has 11 remaining fry and neither of us knows much about guppies...
Questions:
How long until maturity?
How long until they can be sexed?
How do we sex them?
How much space do they need?
Is crushed flakes ok for them? (They are about .5 inches right now) No clue when she gave birth.
The parents are separated from the fry, but how long until they can do this again? How long is gestation? Ummm... anything else useful would be good!!!
Thanks!

If a guppy has been in a tank with males then she will probably be pregnant and it may not show for a while, guppies can give birth up to five times with oly one fertilization by a male, the females are good at storing sperm for males. not sure how long it takes for maturity, but once they are there they are easily sexed, the males will have colorful large tails and most females will be grey and have smaller tails. TetraMin Floating Flake Food and Freeze Dried Blood Worms. Both of these foods are available in most Pet Stores and nooppee. Guppies will do better, if fed a little bit of frozen brine shrimp and a few live Black Worms. Guppies will live best in an Aquarium with an External Power Filter with a BIO-Wheel, 1/4 inch or less of gravel, and an Aquarium Heater adjusted to between 78 and 82 degrees F.
