Could a female guppy have a blue and black spotted tail?? Or is this just a male?
lovemypets
Yes, females can have colored, spotted tails. If the body is kind of a plain color, and the tail is colorful, it is a female. Males have more color throughout their whole bodies, and also they are smaller than the females.

What a pretty name!
Does she have a big belly and a gravid spot? If so, watch for babies anytime!
Black oranda
She has the spot right beside her belly.
And she is not that fat.....

They mate VERY easily. You need to have the females outnumbering the males--I suggest at least 3 females per 1 male, the males will drive the females crazy chasing them aroung trying to breed. I currently have one male with four females, and he seems to be interested in them all! Two of my females have had babies.
They stay small, so I guess you COULD have up to 10 in the 10 gallon, however, if you hope to keep any babies that will add to your number of fish, so maybe start out with four or five and take it from there.
