I bought a new external filter name is RESUN its 1200 Liter per hour.
I wanted to know few things I am planning to remove 4 UGF and also 3 power filters and start to use my new 1200 liters P/H filter should I do it?

oh yes and my sze Tank is 197 Us Galons, is 1200 Liters P/H is ok for that big tank.
no other filter at all...plz help me guyz

the popular opinion is that ugf(undergravel filters) arent all that good for goldfish. i dont know alot about them, and the problems they create, but i do know that when you remove it, you are going to have a huge amout of sediment in your water.

if i were in your position, i would keep one of your power head filters, as a backup, running right along with your new hang on filter. this serves three purposes. one, it will assure that in case of a failure, you will still have filtration. two, when you change filter elements, you will keep at least some of your biological filter intact, protecting you from ammonia spikes. and three, you cant have too much filtration.

my plan is to remove undergravel one day and keep power filters and external filter runing for few days and afterwards remove all the power filters and keep just external filters?

and also plz guide me when to clean external filter i mean after how many days?
and should i contineu to change 50% water every week?

how many times should u clean this extrime filter well dipand on how
mny and how bigg fish u have,u have gold fish in there where u will put this
filter right?i agre with the filter changing thing your tank is 1200 liter bigg!?
but the best thing about the filter is to ask your shooper where
u have bought this filter when do u have to clean it.

after two three day i will remove power filters too if u guys sugest

well if the watter is going preaty fast all around the tank witch u can test
when u feed your fish if you feed your fish with flak food like me u will see
the food going aroud the tank.i have no ider how to help u if u could show
me a record when your filter is runing i could see if the watter is moving fast enaugh but thats a sily ider realy sily

last night i removed all the under gravel filters....yech there must be 2 liters of gunk...i must say NO TO UGF
