Hi,
One of my guppies had babies almost two weeks ago. I caught four of them and they are in a breeder net, safe from the big fish! However, one baby was very evasive and I could never catch him, so he has been in the tank the whole time. He has gotten bold, and now swims around the big girls and boys (these are guppies, mollies, swordtails, and glass cats), and they don't pay any attention to him. It makes me think I could safely let the others out of the net. How long do y'all usually keep guppy fry away from adult fish?

Well kev,it really depends on what you
feed them.
If you would feed them live foods like b.b.s or blood worms
they will grow faster.

Hey guys,
I did let them go free in the tank last weekend, just at two weeks old. The four biggest are doing great, I think the 5th one (a runt) got eaten. Now I see more babies in there from another litter!
I do feed them frozen bloodworms about twice a week, and you are right, Black Oranda, they grow very quickly with those! And it is so cute to watch them try to swallow the whole thing. I swear you can see their little tummies bulging till they look like they will pop!

Well, you could put her in a breeder net, or just keep watching closely, and if you see any babies, put them in the net. That's what I kept mine in for the first two weeks.
Did you ever buy any of those frozen bloodworms I told you about?
