Before I knew better, my 55g tank held 2 goldfish, 12 neons and a pleco. Since then, I've moved the tropicals to a 10 g. tank (some got eaten by the GF blink.gif , so now there's only 1 neon living with some platies), and left the pleco in the GF tank because of his size (about 6") and the fact that his favorite ornament hiding place wont fit in the 10g.
I'm planing on moving the tropicals into a 20L sometime in the near future, and one day hope to move them again into another 55g tank (in a few years). My question is: should I move the pleco into the 20g with the tropicals (knowing that he will eventually outgrow it and will need to be moved again) or leave him with the goldfish where he doesnt really belong (and it is really hard to feed him without the goldfish trying to "help" him Thud.gif )? The GF tank is kept at 74F and there's only 3 of them. I havent seen any evidence of Harvey (the pleco) sucking on them or causing any problems beyond nibbling on some of the plants. What do you guys' think?
Thanks!

I think that plecs are individuals and as long as they are fed and cared for properly, they will not go after goldfish. Just my opinion.

I think if he's happy and your goldfish are happy, leave him there. He won't be healthy in too small a tank and won't appreciate the move.

If it aint broke, don't fix it. biggrin.gif
