Yes, I do what I am told on this board... Especially what HappyGoldfish tells me! Anyway, I gave Peas to Oscar my goldfish today... YUM! I am going to have to make them smaller for him next time....

I find it easiest to boil them a little first and then just squidge them up with my fingers into tiny mouth-sized pieces. smile.gif

Good idea! Going to boil next time instead of microwaving!

actually, microwaving vegetables is THE best way to cook them while retaining all of the vitamins and such. boiling veggies releases much of the "good stuff" that veggies are consumed for. if you do microwave your veggies, i would suggest covering them with plastic wrap (retains moisture). i hope this helps wav.gif

That's a good idea. smile.gif Steaming them would work well too I think.

Thanks for the tips!

I thought oscars were carnivores that ate live fish or meat pellets? I only feed my fish flake food and goldfish pellets

YUP! Oscar the Wonderfish is the name of my lionhead goldfish! I posted asking sooo many questions about him, I figured everybody knew his name. Heck... Every pet store in the area doesn't know me, but knows the name of Oscar the wonderfish! I also work in a hospital and everybody know's Oscars name! spit.gif rofl3.gif purpban.gif

I always boil my pea, take it out of the peel, and just drop them in the tank. I've only tried it once..but Penny seemed to love one! smile.gif

How often do we give peas, and do we give it instead of a meal?
koko
I give it to them once a week. I dont feed for one day and then the peas for the next day, this really helps clean out the insides biggrin.gif
