wav.gif I just received my order or pro-gold food. I tried it out tonight and my orandas chased it down.(it was soaked first) but did not eat it right away.
They are use to goldfish flakes, which they eagerly eat. It sat in the bottom of the tank for quite awhile. Finally they ate it, very slowly. They even looked like they were shaking their heads blink.gif (you know like they did not really like it. ) But they ate it all.
I guess they will get use to it.

Is it ok, to give it too them everyday to get use to it? or use flake food also?

I am still not sure how many pellets to put in the tank. The bigger Oranda ate more.

I know it has alot of vitamins and minerals in it and is good for them.

HI! I just ordered me a batch of the pro-gold too. I was thinking I might try gradually introducing it along with the flake. you know, the regular amount of flake with a couple of pellets, then gradually increasing the pellet and decreasing the flake... IMO this would give their systems a period to adjust to the new diet.
It only sounds logical to me biggrin.gif

If you've been feeding flakes, they just need some adjustment to the sinking pellets. Congrats on soaking it first. Once my Goldies go used to it, they couldn't get to it fast enough. I would continue with flakes in the morning and progold at night. That way, they'll get used to eating off the top and the bottom. Try some other foods like lettuce and bloodworms as treats. They also like the insides of peas. Not to often, the peas act as a laxative.
